Gwynedd-Valley, PA (September 15, 2021) - Junior Tyra Wingle scored three times and fellow junior Catie McGrath added two more leading the DeSales University field hockey team past Gwynedd-Mercy University, 6-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

• It is DSU's first-ever win over the Griffins at GMU and improves the Bulldogs overall record vs. Gwynedd to 3-6.

How it Happened

• DSU dominated from the very start scoring 1:52 into the game on McGrath's first goal and three times in the first quarter.
• The Bulldogs added two more goals in the second quarter to take a 5-0 halftime lead.
• Wingle finished off her hat trick with the lone goal of the second-half 6:05 into the third quarter.

• In addition to Wingle's three goals and McGrath's two markers, sophomore Maddie Trocki also scored.
• Sophomore Abbe Tarczynski, junior Allie Ball, and junior Caroline McGrath each had assists in the win.
• Junior Gianna Duddy made one save in the first-half and sophomore Kayla Yeatman had three in the second-half to share the shutout.
• Junior Ashlee Jopp had a defensive save in the opening half.
