Women's Soccer Wins Seventh Straight after 1-0 Win over Lebanon Valley

Center Valley, PA (September 21, 2021) - The DeSales University women's soccer team kept its unbeaten streak alive winning its seventh straight game to start the season with a 1-0 win over Lebanon Valley College on Tuesday afternoon.

  • DeSales is now one win shy of tying the team record of eight consecutive wins.

How it Happened
  • After both teams went scoreless in the opening half, DeSales got on the board early in the second-half in what proved to be the game's only goal.
  • Senior Natalie Dorsheimer sent a crossing pass to the back post where sophomore Kerrigan de Meij headed the pass home for her second goal of the year.
  • Sophomore Hannah Pacheco and the Bulldog defense did the rest recording the Bulldogs' fifth shutout of the year.

  • The assist was Dorsheimer's fourth of the year, leading the team in that category.
  • Pacheco made six saves in between the pipes.
For the Foes
  • Jocelyn Umana had four saves for the Flying Dutchmen.
