Reading, PA (September 25, 2021) - The DeSales University men's tennis team earned its first win of the 2021-22 season, 7-2, over Alvernia University on Saturday afternoon.
Doubles
DSU took a 3-0 lead after doubles action as sophomoreÂ
Augie Citrone and juniorÂ
Thomas Blomquist won 8-5 at the No. 1 flight, seniorÂ
Nolan Beck and juniorÂ
Will Pollick won 8-4 in the No. 2 slot, and seniorsÂ
Charlie Carbonetto and
Brahm Buoy won 8-5 in the No. 3 hole.
Singles
Citrone, Pollick, and Beck were all double winners and juniorÂ
Ethan McCombs earned an 8-6 win in the No. 6 flight. Citrone won 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 1 spot, Pollick was a 6-1, 6-0 winner in the No. 2 spot, and Beck was a 6-0, 6-2 winner in the No. 3 position.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, October 9th when they host Moravian University.
