Center Valley, PA (September 4, 2021) - The DeSales University field hockey team recorded its second straight 3-0 shutout win to start the season with back-to-back wins over local rivals shutting out Muhlenberg College on Saturday afternoon.

  • DSU got on the board just 1:17 into the game as junior Tyra Wingle one-timed a pass home from sophomore Taylor DeMasi for her second goal of the year.
  • Sophomore Maddie Trocki scored her first career goal mid-way thru the third quarter to give DSU a two-goal cushion, tapping her the rebound of her own shot.
  • Wingle then put the exclamation point on the win re-directing a rocket off the stick of fellow junior Catie McGrath to post the final tally.
  • Junior Gianna Duddy stood tall behind a solid defensive effort making three saves to record the shutout.
