Center Valley, PA (January 24, 2022) - Five players scored in double digits led by senior
Averi Jordan with 25 points leading the DeSales University women's basketball team past Delaware Valley University, 98-56, in MAC Freedom action on Monday evening in Billera Hall.
The Basics

- It is DeSales' 11th straight win in the series and improves the Bulldogs to 55-15 overall all-time vs. the Aggies.
- The Bulldogs have now won 10 straight on the season and it is their 20th straight win at home, three shy of tying the all-time record.
How it Happened
- A close game early (10-9) saw the Bulldogs pull ahead with a 12-2 run to take a 22-11 before a three-pointer at the first quarter buzzer made it a seven-point game after one quarter.
- The Aggies hung tight in the second quarter trailing by only single digits most of the way before a short 7-1 run near the end of the half made it a 13-point game and the Bulldogs took a 12-point lead into the locker room.
- The second-half was all DSU, out-scoring the Aggies, 28-13, in the third quarter to build as much as a 29-point lead and cruised in the fourth quarter with the lead peaking at the 42-point final tally, 98-56.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Jordan was just three assists shy of recording the school's first-ever triple-double in women's basketball history finishing with 25 points, 19 rebounds, and seven assists. Her 19 rebounds were tied for the seventh most in a game in team history.
- Sophomore Mikaela Reese finished with third double-double of the year with 21 points and 10 boards.
- Junior Megan Bealer was just two rebounds shy of a double-double with 16 points and eight rebounds.
- Sophomore Lindsey Welsh added 14 points, six rebounds, and six helpers in the win and fellow sophomore Amelia Saunders had 12 points off the bench.
- Junior Maria Newsome finished with six assists.
For the Foes
- Haley Keenan led the Aggies with 14 points.
- Lauren Moretti added 13 points and five assists.
- Jess Williamson also had double-digits with 12 points and added four assists.
Inside the Box Score
- DSU shot 46.1 percent from the field and held the Aggies to just 33.9 percent from the field.
- DeSales dominated the paint out-rebounding Delaware Valley, 59-21, and out-scoring DVU, 50-24, in the paint.
