Doylestown, PA (October 26, 2022) - The DeSales University women's soccer team clinched spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament with a 4-1 win over Delaware Valley University in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday afternoon.

• Records: DeSales (10-5-2, 4-3 MAC Freedom); Delaware Valley (6-11-1, 0-7 MAC Freedom)
• It is DSU's 10th straight win over the Aggies improving to 13-9-2 all-time vs. Delaware Valley.
• DeSales clinches a spot in the postseason tournament. They are currently sitting in the #4 spot and can clinch the #4 seed with a win or tie on Saturday vs. King's College.

How it Happened

• Junior Kerrigan de Meij got DSU on the board in the 9th minute scoring inside the near post upper 90.
• The Aggies tied the game in the 31st minute and the game seemed destined to still be tied at one heading into halftime before DSU scored two goals in the span of 1:01 in the 44th and 45th minute of the first half.
• Holding a 3-1 halftime edge, DeSales added another tally in the 76th minute to post the final score.

Top Bulldog Performers

• de Meij's goal was her sixth of the season.
• Sophomore Lexi Bleam got the game-winner her first of the year and senior Katie Padgett tallied her second of the year.
• Sophomore Emma Ribeiro added her ninth goal of the year in the second-half.
• Ribeiro, Bleam, first-year Madison O'Connor, and junior Elizabeth McCarthy all had assists.
• Junior Hannah Pacheco had five saves in goal.

For the Foes

• Jess Williamson had the Aggies' goal.
• Olivia Sherwood made 14 saves in the loss.
