Center Valley, PA (October 29, 2022) - The DeSales University field hockey team took a brief lead early but ultimately fell to the top ranked team in the country, #1 Salisbury University, 6-2, in non-conference action to wrap-up the regular season on Saturday afternoon.

- It is the second meeting between the two teams and the first loss for the Bulldogs vs. the Seagulls after an OT win last season.
How it Happened
- Salisbury took a 1-0 lead just one minute into the game on a goal off a penalty corner.
- DeSales answered with a goal just under two minutes later when junior Maddie Trocki tipped home a shot from first-year Jordyne Stong.
- The Bulldogs quickly captured a 2-1 lead 6:40 into the game as this time Stong scored off an assist from Trocki.
- The Seagulls got the tying goal in the 13th minute and reclaimed a one-goal lead with just 28 seconds left in the first quarter.
- SU scored two more goals in the second quarter to lead 5-2 and added another in the third period to post the final tally.

- The goals were Trocki's eighth and Strong's ninth of the year.
