Nate Ellis tossed in a season and game-high 23 points but the DeSales University men's basketball team dropped its second straight game, 63-60, to Swarthmore College in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon in Billera Hall.

- Today's game was the first meeting between these two teams since the 1986 season as the Garnet improved to 7-4 all-time vs. the Bulldogs with the win.
How it Happened
- Swarthmore opened up a 14-6 lead early on the strength of a 12-2 run and continued to lead by nine (24-15) at the 4:16 mark.
- The Bulldogs scored seven straight points to get within two until the Garnet finished the half with five straight points to lead by seven at the break.
- The Garnet increased their lead to 10 early in the second-half before DeSales caught fire using a 17-6 run to take a 41-40 lead at the 12:20 mark with Ellis scoring seven of the 17 points.
- SC countered with seven straight points to take a 46-41 lead.
- The lead remained six at the 1:58 mark before a three-point play from Ellis cut it down to three (61-58).
- The Bulldogs had consecutive looks from outside the arc to tie the game on their next two possessions but came up empty.
- DSU still had a chance with 20 seconds left after a block on the other end from junior Ryan Boylan.
- A quick put-back lay-up from Boylan made it a one point game but the Garnet knocked down two free throws and their next possession and a last second 3 from junior Christian Guldin was off the mark as the buzzer sounded.

- Ellis was outstanding finishing with a game-high 23 points off the bench and adding three assists.
- Junior Mason Barnes also reached double digits with 14 points.
- Junior Elijah Eberly finished with eight points and eight rebounds.
For the Foes
- George Visconti had 15 points and George Corzine added 14 off the bench.
- Vinny DeAngelo had 13 points and Michael Caprise totaled 12 points.
Inside the Box Score
- After shooting just 29 percent in the first-half, DSU hit 50 percent from the field in the second-half.
- Swarthmore won the rebounding battle, 40-31, and scored 38 points in the paint.
- The Bulldogs took excellent care of the ball committing just six turnovers but struggled from the free throw line hitting only 42.9 percent from the charity stripe.
