Men's Basketball Rolls Past Local Rival Moravian, 96-52

Center Valley, PA (November 22, 2022) - The DeSales University men's basketball team shot 50.7 percent and never trailed rolling past local rival Moravian University, 96-52, in non-conference action on Tuesday evening in Billera Hall.

  • This was the 49th career meeting between the two teams as takes a 26-23 lead in the all-time series after its second straight win in the series. DSU is now 14-10 vs. the Greyhounds at home.
How it Happened
  • It was a close game early as DeSales led 14-9 just over seven minutes into the game before finishing the half on a 28-10 run to take a dominating 42-19 lead at the halftime break.
  • The lead grew to 44 points at the 9:56 mark of the second-half before that same margin was posted in the final score.

  • Thirteen different players scored for the Bulldogs including senior Jordan Holmqvist with a game-high 15 points, hitting 4 3's.
  • Sophomore Charles Warren poured in a career-high 14 points over the final nine minutes of the game.
  • Junior Christian Guldin had 13 points and senior Darnell Vaughan Jr. also was in double digits with 11 points.
  • Junior Elijah Eberly and sophomore Caleb Gibbs each had nine points and combined for 13 rebounds and three blocks.
