Center Valley, PA (February 5, 2022) - The DeSales University men's basketball team hit 12 3's rolling past FDU-Florham, 88-53, in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon in Billera Hall.

- The Bulldogs sweep the season series with the Devils and have now won 11 straight in the series to improve to 39-15 all-time vs. FDU.
- The win also keeps DeSales' two-game lead in the MAC Freedom standings in the loss column with three games left on the conference slate in the quest for the top seed in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament.
How it Happened
- Clinging to a four-point lead (20-16) after 10 minutes of play, DeSales broke it open using a 19-2 run over the span of six minutes to take a 39-18 lead with 4:06 to go in the opening half.
- Seniors Dat Lambert and Timmy Edwards highlighted the run with Lambert hitting 3 3's and Edwards scoring eight straight points at one point during the spurt.
- The 18-point halftime lead continued thru most of the start of the second-half before the Bulldogs eventually pulled away using a 20-5 run mid-way thru the second-half to take a 75-43 lead and never looked back from there.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Edwards finished with 22 points to lead the scoring attack shooting 11-of-16 from the field and grabbing a team-high seven rebounds.
- Lambert finished with 15 points, hitting 5 3's.
- First-year Caleb Gibbs came off the bench to score 10 points and grab five rebounds.
- Senior Matt Kachelries had a season-high 12 assists and fellow senior Mike Bealer finished with nine points.
For the Foes
- Oliver Ortman was the lone double digit scorer with 16 points to lead the Devils.
Inside the Box Score
- The Bulldogs finished the game shooting 49.3 percent from the field and hit 12-of-26 (46.2 percent) from outside the arc.
- DSU controlled the boards, out-rebounding the Devils, 40-29 and out-scored FDU, 40-12, in the paint.
- DeSales had 18 fast break points, handed out 25 assists, and committed just six turnovers in the game.
