Galloway, NJ (February 7, 2022) - Stockton University used a 20-2 run mid-way thru the second-half to pull away and take an 83-60 win over the DeSales University men's basketball team snapping the Bulldogs 10-game road win streak on Monday evening.

The Basics

• Final Score: Stockton - 83, DeSales - 60
• Records: DeSales (19-3 Overall); Stockton (18-4 Overall)
• This was the first meeting between the two teams since the 2004 season as the Ospreys improve to 5-1 overall vs. the Bulldogs.
• It is DSU's first road loss of the season and snaps a school-record 10-game road win streak.

How it Happened

• DeSales scored the first five points of the game before Stockton answered with 10 straight.
• The host's lead grew to as many as 11 points (32-21) before the Bulldogs switched to a zone defense and held the Ospreys scoreless over the final 4:17 to pull within two points (32-30) at the halftime break.
• The Bulldogs continued to control the game to open the second-half taking it's first lead since early on two technical free throws and led by one (43-42) at the 14:42 mark.
• SU scored 11 straight points to take a 53-43 lead before two straight 3's from DSU cut the margin down to four points (53-49) with 10:33 remaining.
• Stockton put the game away after that using a 20-2 run over the next 5:40 taking a 73-51 lead and never looked back from there.

• Senior Matt Kachelries led DeSales with 12 points.
• Senior Dat Lambert also had double figures with 10 points.
• Senior Timmy Edwards finished with eight points and 10 rebounds and senior Keba Mitchelle had a career-high eight blocks in the loss.

For the Foes

• Stockton got a game-high 23 points and five steals from DJ Campbell.
• Rynell Lawrence finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
• Kylon Flanders had 10 points.
• Jonathan Azoroh was just two points shy of a double-double with eight points and 11 boards.

• DSU hit just 32.3 percent from the field, while SU shot 42.7 percent.
