Wilkes-Barre, PA (February 9, 2022) - The DeSales University men's basketball team rolled past King's College, 80-54, clinching the top seed in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament and the MAC Freedom Regular Season Championship on Wednesday evening in MAC Freedom action.

How it Happened
- DeSales got off to a very slow start in this one as King's took a 15-5 lead over the first 4:09 before the Bulldogs answered with a 12-0 run to take their first lead of the game (17-15) at the 12:15 mark.
- Sophomores Ryan Boylan and Elijah Eberly keyed the run scoring 10 of the 12 points.
- Tied at 20, DSU finished the half out-scoring King's, 23-7, to take a 16-point lead (43-27) into the locker room.
- DSU scored the first nine points of the second-half extending its lead to 25 points (52-27) and never looked back from there.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Senior Timmy Edwards led three players in double digits with 12 points and added six rebounds.
- Junior Jordan Holmqvist had 11 points, all in the first-half.
- Boylan finished with 10 points and added six assists.
For the Foes
- King's was led by Carmine Castiello with 13 points.
- Eamonn Walsh and Joey Lindsay each had 12 points in the loss.
