Aston, PA (March 16, 2022) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team earned its third straight win defeating Neumann University, 14-11, in non-conference action on Wednesday afternoon.

The Basics

• Records: DeSales (4-2 overall); Neumann (3-2 overall)
• This was the first career meeting between the two teams.

How it Happened

• Neumann was in control early scoring three straight goals between the end of the first quarter and start of the second quarte to take a 4-2 lead.
• DeSales answered with five straight goals to end the first-half to take a 7-4 lead into the halftime locker room.
• The Bulldogs out-scored the Knights, 4-2 in the third quarter to increase its lead to 11-6 and led 12-7 with 11:48 left in the game.
• Neumann scored four straight to pull within a goal (12-11) but DSU put the exclamation point on the win with two straight tallies to end the game.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Senior Amanda Schultz led the scoring with four goals and assist for five points.
• First-year Meagan Landers also had five points with three goals and two helpers.
• Junior Dani Towey, junior Marina Bradley, and sophomore Hayley Petrosini each scored twice.
• First-year Kyleigh Price finished with a goal and an assist.
• Bradley and junior Tess Rodgers each had four draw controls.
• First-year Michaela Regan totaled 14 saves in goal.

• Brylin Adams led the Knights with five goals and an assist.
• Jayana Murray had seven draw controls.

• Neumann out-shot DeSales, 34-31 and had a slight 16-14 edge in ground balls.
