Center Valley, PA (March 18, 2022) - The DeSales University baseball team dropped its MAC Freedom opener to Stevens, 18-4, at Weiland Park on a beautiful Friday evening.
The Ducks (11-5, 1-0 MAC Freedom) took a 2-0 lead in the first inning but the Bulldogs (5-6, 0-1 MAC Freedom) battled back to lead 3-2 after a two-run blast by juniorÂ
Colin Trembley in the bottom of the third inning.
SIT got two more runs in the fourth to take a 4-3 lead and then exploded for eight runs, hitting two home runs, in the top of the fifth inning and DeSales was unable to recover.

Ryan Rieber took the loss pitching four innings allowing four earned runs, striking out three.

DSU is back in action on Sunday when they travel to Stevens for games two and three of the weekend series with the Ducks.
