Box Score Grantham, PA (March 24, 2022) - The DeSales University men's tennis team opened up the spring season with a 7-2 win at Messiah University in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon.
Doubles
DSU opened up a 2-1 lead after doubles competition as sophomoreÂ
Augie Citrone and juniorÂ
Thomas Blomquist got an 8-3 win in the No. 2 flight and sophomoreÂ
Philip Ritchie and juniorÂ
Will Pollick won 8-1 in the third flight.
Singles
The Bulldogs closed out the match with five singles wins.
Citrone and Ritchie were double winners as Citrone won 7-5, 6-1 at the No. 2 spot and Ritchie was a 6-0, 6-1 winner in third position.
SeniorÂ
Brahm Buoy was a 6-3, 6-3 winner in the No. 4 spot, juniorÂ
Mark Sherrill won 6-1, 7-5 in the No. 5 flight, and seniorÂ
Nolan Beck won 6-2, 7-5 in the No. 6 position.
DeSales is back in action this weekend when they host Saint Vincent College beginning at 12:30 pm.
