Center Valley, PA (March 30, 2022) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team dropped its MAC Freedom opener falling to Stevens, 16-7, on Wednesday evening.

• It is DSU's fifth straight loss to the Ducks, falling to 3-6 all-time vs. Stevens.

How it Happened

• Stevens jumped out quickly scoring the first four goals of the game, including the first three in a span of 1:19 to take an early 4-0 lead.
• The lead grew to as many as six goals, including the 9-3 halftime score.
• The Ducks scored the first goal of the second-half before the Bulldogs made a run, scoring three straight to get within 10-6.
• Stevens answered with two straight and out-scored the Bulldogs 4-0 in the fourth quarter to post the final tally.

• Junior Domenic Maria led DSU with two goals.
• Junior Beau Neff had a goal and two assists.
• Sophomore Pat Wixted, sophomore Pat Schuett, sophomore Luke Wilson, and sophomore Chase Bowman each scored.
• Graduate student Vince Maria had a strong game with three caused turnovers and three ground balls.
• Sophomore Quinten Lyons finished with 13 saves in goal.

• Michael Burns, Tyler Ryan, Brendan Sullivan, and Ryan Caplis all scored three goals to lead the Ducks.
• Russell Eberding dominated the face-off circle winning 17-of-22 and picking up 10 ground balls.
• Evan Eggleston had four caused turnovers.
