San Antonio, TX (March 9, 2022) - After winning the first two games in its spring trip to San Antonio, TX, the DeSales University baseball team dropped three straight to finish the trip with a 2-3 record.
Monday - L/3-12 @ Southwestern
Southwestern scored 12 runs in three innings to take a 12-0 lead and the Bulldogs were unable to mount a comeback.

Ian Malone pitched well in relief tossing 3 1/3 hitless innings, striking out five.
Tuesday - L/13-18 @ Texas Lutheran
DeSales took a 6-0 lead in the first inning on the strength of four doubles but TLU scored seven times in the second, four times in the third, and five times in the fourth to take a 16-6 lead thru four innings.
DSU battled back within five runs after scoring three times in the eighth but were unable to complete the comeback.
Leamer had three hits and three RBIs, seniorÂ
Hunter Spalt finished 3-for-3 with two runs scored and four RBIs, first-yearÂ
Patrick Kusters finished 2-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBIs, and first-yearÂ
Justin DeStaso had two hits and two RBIs.

Will Shelden took the loss in relief allowing three earned over one inning of work.
Wednesday - L/2-12 @ Trinity
The Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead in the top of the third inning after a two-run blast from juniorÂ
Colin Trembley, but Trinity responded with eight runs in the third inning and never looked back from there.
DeStaso had two more hits to lead the offense. JuniorÂ
Tom Berg IIIÂ took the loss allowing seven earned over 2 2/3 innings pitched.
DeSales is back in action in 10 days when they host Stevens in the MAC Freedom opener on March 19th at Weiland Park.
