Center Valley, PA (April 13, 2022) - The DeSales University baseball team dropped its third straight game falling to local rival Moravian University, 6-5, in 11 innings in a non-conference game Wednesday evening at Weiland Park.
After the Greyhounds took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning, the Bulldogs answered with three two-out runs to take a 3-2 lead on an RBI single from seniorÂ
Robert Lamm and two-RBI single from seniorÂ
Liam Kile.
Moravian tied the game in the top of the fourth inning, but DeSales reclaimed a 5-3 lead with two runs in the bottom half of the fourth after an RBI double from juniorÂ
Joe Grigas IV.
MU chipped away at the lead scoring once in the seventh and once in the eighth sending the game into extra innings.
After both teams went quietly in the 10th, Moravian scored an unearned run in the 11th and DSU went in order in the bottom of the inning.

Michael Pierce took the loss allowing the one unearned run over two innings pitched. First-yearÂ
Alex Chase pitched well allowing just one run over four innings, striking out two.
Junior
 Colin Trembley and Lamm each had two hits for the Bulldogs who finished with seven hits but had just two over the final seven innings.
DSU is back in action tomorrow when they travel to FDU-Florham for game one of the three-game weekend set with the Devils.
