Dallas, PA (April 14, 2022) - The DeSales University softball team dropped its first two MAC Freedom games of the season falling at Misericordia University, 7-2 and 9-1, on Thursday afternoon.
Game One (L/2-7)
Misericordia scored in four of the first six innings slowly building a 7-0 lead before DSU posted two runs in the top of the seventh inning on a Cougar error and RBI double from seniorÂ
Kristen Suran.
SophomoreÂ
Alanna Hartzell took the loss allowing three runs over four innings. Six different players had one hit in the loss.
Game Two (L/1-9)
A scoreless game into the bottom of the third inning saw the Cougars break it open with six runs before closing out the Bulldogs in the sixth.
SeniorÂ
Reilly Kerr accounted for DSU's lone run, a solo home run in the top of the fifth. JuniorÂ
Heather Hall took the loss allowing six runs over 2 2/3 innings pitched.
DSU is back in action on Monday when they host Stevens in another MAC Freedom doubleheader beginning at 3:30 pm.
