Madison, NJ (April 18, 2022) - The DeSales University baseball took the rubber game of the three-game series set behind five scoreless innings from the bullpen in an 8-6 win over FDU-Florham on a cold Monday afternoon.
DSU took a 2-0 lead on a two-run double from sophomoreÂ
Gavin Zavorski in the second inning before the Devils got two runs in the third and four more runs iin the fourth to take a 6-2 lead.
The Bulldogs tied the game at six in the top of the fifth on an RBI double from first-yearÂ
Patrick Kusters and two-RBI double from seniorÂ
Trevor Leamer and added solo runs in the sixth and seventh on an RBI triple from Kusters and RBI single from first-yearÂ
Gabe Diaz to take an 8-6 lead.
The bullpen did the rest as first-yearÂ
Mike Romano pitched four scoreless innings to earn the win and improve to 3-0 on the season. He ran his scoreless innings streak to 11 innings having not been scored on in his last six outings. Romano had six K's in four innings.

Frank Parrotti earned his first career save pitching around a leadoff double in the ninth inning.
