Center Valley, PA (April 29, 2022) - Arcadia University scored nine runs over the final three innings blowing open a close game in a 12-5 win over the DeSales University baseball team on Friday afternoon in the first of three games this weekend in MAC Freedom action at Weiland Park.
Arcadia scored once in the first and third innings taking advantage of a balk in the first and an error in the third to lead 2-0.
DSU got both runs back in the bottom of the third inning on an RBI single from seniorÂ
Liam Kile and a double play ground out.
The Knights reclaimed a one-run lead in the top of the fourth and that score stood into the seventh inning when AU scored twice in the seventh, four times in the eighth, and three more times in the ninth to take a 12-3 lead before the Bulldogs got two runs back in the bottom of the ninth to post the final tally.
DeSales still has a chance at earning the #3 seed in the MAC Freedom postseason needing two wins tomorrow at Arcadia and two FDU wins over Stevens tomorrow.
