Ambler, PA (April 30, 2022) - The DeSales University baseball team lost both ends of a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at Arcadia University finishing the MAC Freedom regular season dropping all three games to the Knights.
DeSales had already clinched a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason and tournament and will be the #4 seed and will travel back to Arcadia, the top seed, for the MAC Freedom semifinals three-game series beginning on Friday afternoon at 3:30 pm. Game two will be Saturday at Noon with game three to follow if necessary.
DSU will be making its 22nd appearance in the MAC Freedom postseason having only missed the conference tournament one time, back in 1999.
Game One (L/1-6)
This one was a close into the sixth inning when got its lone run of the game tying the score at one on an RBI single from seniorÂ

Arcadia answered with five runs in the bottom of the sixth and closed out the Bulldogs in the seventh for the game one win.
DSU had just six hits, one each by six different players.

Ian Kacergis suffered his first loss of the season allowing three runs over 5+ innings of work.
Game Two (L/4-8)
Once again DeSales couldn't avoid the big inning defensively as the Knights scored seven times in the third inning and the Bulldogs were unable to mount a comeback.
DSU trailed 8-0 into the sixth inning when they Bulldogs scored four times on a bases loaded walk and three RBI singles from sophomoreÂ

DeSales had seven hits, including two from Trembley in the loss.
The Bulldogs do have one more game prior to the MAC Freedom postseason next weekend hosting Salisbury University Tuesday night at Weiland Park beginning at 6:00 pm.
