Men's Lacrosse Rolls Past Wilkes, 18-9

Center Valley, PA (April 9, 2022) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team opened up a 14-0 lead and never looked back winning its second straight, 18-9, over Wilkes University in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

  • It is DSU's third straight win over the Colonels and improves the Bulldogs to 4-2 all-time vs. Wilkes.
How it Happened
  • DeSales was in complete control in this one scoring four goals in the first quarter and 10 more in the second quarter to take a 14-0 halftime lead and never looked back in the second-half.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Sophomore Pat Schuett led DeSales with four goals and four assists.
  • Senior Zach Bowen had four goals and two assists and is now just two points shy of becoming the first-ever player in DeSales history with 200 career points.
  • Graduate student Jalen Holmes, junior Beau Neff, and sophomore Pat Wixted all scored twice.
  • First-year Mason Scott finished with two assists as 13 different players recorded points in the win.
  • Junior Zach Broomall won 14-of-15 faceoffs and had 10 ground balls in the win.
  • Senior Nick Bowen totaled four caused turnovers.
For the Foes
  • Tyler Knappenberger led Wilkes with three goals and one assist.
  • Ryan lasher made 19 saves in goal.
