Delanie Zohler and junior
Samanthan Worontzoff combined for 20 kills leading the DeSales University volleyball team past FDU-Florham, 3-0, in MAC Freedom action on Tuesday evening.
Trailing 8-6 in the opening set, DSU scored 11 straight points to take a 17-8 lead and never looked back in a 25-15 first set win. Worontzoff had three kills during the win.
The Bulldogs trailed 21-20 in the second set after four straight points from the Devils but kills from Worontzoff and first-year
Mackenzie Fox gave DSU a 23-21 lead and two Devils errors gave the Bulldogs a 25-23 lead after the match was tied at 23.
DeSales never trailed in the third set hitting .214 with a match-high 16 kills in the third set en route to a 25-20 win to close out the match.
Zohler hit .308 with her 10 kills and added two blocks, while Worontzoff hit .368 and added five blocks. Senior
Grace Grandinetti had 19 assists and eight digs, while sophomore
Peyton Porterfield finished with 10 assists and a block.

Emma Notarfrancesco had 17 digs and senior
Mykenah Calder had six kills and 10 digs.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Thursday when they travel to Willam Paterson University for a non-conference match beginning at 7:00 pm.
