Newark, NJ (October 11, 2023) - The DeSales University women's soccer team dropped its third straight falling at #22 New York University, 6-0, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

The Basics

• Final Score: NYU - 6, DeSales - 0
• Records: DeSales (2-10-1 Overall); NYU (10-1 Overall)
• This was the first meeting since the 2016 season between these two teams as NYU increased its advantage to 5-1 all-time vs. the Bulldogs. 

How it Happened

• NYU scored three goals in each half to provide the final tally.
• The Violets led 2-0 with goals in the 5th and 10th minutes before making it 3-0 with a goal in the 25th minute.

• Senior Jozlyn Minnema made two saves and junior Katey Kunz had three saves in goal.

For the Foes

• NYU got goals from Kelli Keady (2), Gabrielle Funk, Jessica Tonthat, Yukino Wakatsuki, and Hunter Hoelscher in the win.
• Funk also had two assists.
