De Meij Scores Twice in 4-0 Women's Soccer Win over Lebanon Valley

Center Valley, PA (October 17, 2023) - Senior Kerrigan de Meij scored two goals and one assist leading the DeSales University women's soccer team past Lebanon Valley College, 4-0, in MAC Freedom action on Tuesday afternoon.

  • The Bulldogs have now won four straight and improve to 6-16 in the all-time series with Lebanon Valley.
How it Happened
  • DeSales controlled play in this one nearly the entire way taking a 1-0 lead in the 26th minute when de Meij scored her first of the day on the rebound of her own shot.
  • First-year Catherine Crampton made it a two goal game in the 34th minute scoring on a header and that lead stood into the half.
  • Junior Emma Ribeiro scored unassisted in the 58th minute to open the scoring in the second-half.
  • de Meij put the exclamation point on the final tally scoring on a pass to the back post by sophomore Sarah Janukowicz.
  • Senior Jozlyn Minnema made one save to earn the shutout.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • The goals were de Meij's first two of the season and she added an assist on the Crampton goal.
  • Junior Tori Harnett also had an assist on the Crampton goal.
  • Ribeiro now has four goals this season and Crampton netted her second.
For the Foes
  • Jocelyn Umana had eight saves in the loss.
