Center Valley, PA (October 21, 2023) – The DeSales University men's soccer team settled for a 1-1 draw with FDU-Florham in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics

• Records: DeSales (5-5-4, 1-1-3 MAC Freedom); FDU-Florham (8-2-5, 0-2-3 MAC Freedom)
• The tie moves the Bulldogs to 13-9-5 in the all-time series vs. the Devils.

How it Happened

• Play was about even in the first half with the Devils having a 5-3 edge in shots, but neither team having a goal to show for it in a scoreless first half.
• The Bulldogs came out of the break firing and scored the game's first goal in the 47th minute on a header from sophomore Jason Trivisonno that was set up by senior Elek McDonald from the back post.
• The Bulldogs dominated possession and out-shot FDU-Florham in the second half, 9-3, but was not able to capitalize and get that insurance goal.
• In the 90th minute the Devils scored the game-tying goal and the final tally after Jason Balbuena re-directed a shot from Oliver Trujillo past the keeper.

• Sophomore Conner Zimmerman made one save in goal.
