Wilkes-Barre, PA (October 21, 2023) - Senior Maddie Trocki scored four goals leading the DeSales University field hockey team to its fifth straight win, clinching a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason, in a 7-1 win over King's College on Saturday evening.

How it Happened

• After a scoreless first quarter DeSales took a 2-0 halftime lead as junior Delani Remp and Trocki each scored in the second quarter.
• Trocki tallied her second just 1:44 into the third quarter to make it a 3-0 game before King's got on the board.
• DSU added four more goals in the fourth quarter to break it open with Trocki scoring twice and sophomore Jordyne Stong and senior Catie McGrath also adding goals.

• Trocki tied the record for goals in a game with four and now has 17 on the season.
• Remp tallied her fifth of the year, Stong now has six goals, and McGrath now has four goals on the season.
• Stong, sophomore Morgan Benner, junior Miranda Szymborski, and sophomore Nikki Chiaradia all had assists in the win.
