Center Valley, PA (October 28, 2023) - The DeSales University volleyball team took home two wins on Saturday winning both ends of a home tri-match with Baruch College and Rowan University in non-conference action.
Match #1 (W/3-1 - 16-25, 25-11, 25-23, 25-18 vs. Baruch College)
After struggling in the opening set and falling behind 1-0, the Bulldogs dominated the last three sets to earn the come from behind win.
SeniorÂ
Paige Lewis was outstanding with 12 kills, hitting .435, and adding two blocks. Fellow seniorÂ
Alyson Maddalone added 11 kills and 12 digs and seniorÂ
Delanie Zohler had nine kills, hitting .250, and totaling 10 digs.

Liz Hessberger finished with six kills and five blocks, seniorÂ
Grace Grandinetti had 20 assists and sophomoreÂ
Peyton Porterfield finished with 16 assists.
JuniorÂ
Mykenah Calder had six kills, six aces, and 12 digs, while seniorÂ
Emma Notarfrancesco had three aces and 15 digs. Zohler added five aces as the Bulldogs combined for 15 aces in the four-set match.
Match #2 (W/3-2 - 17-25, 25-20, 25-20, 13-25, 15-10 vs. Rowan University)
The Bulldogs gutted out a five set win in their second match of the day responding after a 1-0 deficit and grinding out a fifth set win after struggling in the fourth set following wins in sets two and three.
Lewis was once again terrific finishing with 15 kills and hitting .394, dominating at the net with seven blocks. Maddalone was once again solid at the net with nine kills and adding 18 digs, while Hessberger finished with four blocks.
Notarfrancesco had 22 digs and Calder added 20 digs. Grandinetti had 22 assists and 10 digs, while Porterfield finished with 16 assists and four blocks.
The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday when they host Stevens in the MAC Freedom regular season finale, needing a win to claim a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament. Start time is 7:00 pm in Billera Hall.
