Annville, PA (October 4, 2023) - The DeSales University volleyball team dropped its first conference match of the season falling at Lebanon Valley College, 3-1, on Wednesday evening.
DSU got off to a good start in this one winning the first set, 25-20, hitting .156 for the set with 12 kills. Lebanon Valley took the second set hitting .231 to tie the match.
In the third set the match was tight the entire way. Tied at 22, LVC got two straight points. The Bulldogs fought off one set point but the Flying Dutchmen put away the next point to take the match and 2-1 lead. LVC then played a nearly flawless fourth set committing just two hitting errors to close out the match.

Samantha Worontzoff continued her outstanding play with 15 kills, hitting .423, and added eight blocks. SeniorsÂ
Paige Lewis andÂ
Delanie Zohler both had eight kills and Lewis added four blocks.

Emma Notarfrancesco finished with 13 digs and seniorÂ
Grace Grandinetti finished with 19 assists and two aces.
DSU is back in action this weekend when they travel to Gettysburg College for a tri-match with Haverford College.
