Gettysburg, PA (October 7, 2023) - The DeSales University volleyball team fell to both Haverford College and Gettysburg College in a tri-match on Saturday afternoon.

Match #1 (L/1-3 vs. Haverford)
The Bulldogs dropped the first set in this one, 25-23, but rebounded with 15 kills in the second set to tie the match at one with a 25-23 second set win.  The third set was another 25-23 score with the Fords taking a 2-1 lead and DSU had a tough fourth set with nine hitting errors to fall, 25-8.

Senior Delanie Zohler led the way with 15 kills, four aces, and 11 digs in the loss.

Junior Samantha Worontzoff added nine kills and first-year Mackenzie Fox had six kills and three blocks.

Senior Emma Notarfrancesco finished with 18 digs, while senior Grace Grandinetti and sophomore Peyton Porterfield combined for 38 assists.

Match #2 (L/0-3 vs. Gettysburg)
The Bullets swept the Bulldogs, 25-16, 25-22, 25-18 in this one.

Zohler and senior Mykenah Calder each had six kills to lead the way.  Calder added a team-high 17 digs and two aces.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Tuesday evening when they travel to FDU-Florham for a MAC Freedom match beginning at 7:00 pm.
