Elijah Eberly scored a career-high 24 points leading the DeSales University men's basketball team in a 68-64 loss at #11 Swarthmore College on Saturday afternoon.

- It is DSU's second straight tight loss to the Garnet falling to 4-8 in the all-time series.
How it Happened
- Swarthmore was quick out of the gates opening up a 15-5 lead over the first seven minutes of the game.
- The lead grew to 15 points (29-14) before the Bulldogs closed the half on a 14-5 run to get within six points before the Garnet led by eight at the break.
- The lead went back to 13 points early in the second-half but DSU kept chipping away at the advantage.
- Down eighth (55-47) with 8:04 remaining DeSales made it a one possession game (55-52) on a three-point play from junior Caleb Gibbs at the 6:15 mark.
- The Bulldogs trailed by two points with 2:32 to go before Eberly tied the score at 62 with 2:14 left.
- Both teams came up empty on their next possessions and the Garnet reclaimed the lead with 1:05 to go.
- DSU turned the ball over out of a timeout and the Garnet made two freebies with nine seconds left to make it a four-point game.
- Senior Mason Barnes scored on a quick lay-up but Swarthmore made two more free throws with five seconds left to post the final tally.

- Eberly scored his career-high 24 off the pine and added six rebounds and two blocks.
- Senior Christian Guldin had 14 points and Gibbs added nine points and eight rebounds.
For the Foes
- Vinny DeAngelo led the Garnet with 15 points.
- Michael Caprise added 13 points and Devin Burger added 12 points.
- Eddie Paquette finished with seven points, 11 rebounds, and five assists.

- Neither team shot well as DeSales hit 38.0 percent and Swarthmore shot just 41.4 percent.
