Bethlehem, PA (November 21, 2023) - Five players scored in double digits leading the DeSales University men's basketball team to a double digit win over local rival Moravian University, 89-77, on Tuesday evening in Johnston Hall.

- This was the 50th career meeting between the local rivals with DSU winning its third straight and moving to 27-23 all-time in the seres.
How it Happened
- DeSales never trailed in this one scoring the first five points of the game.
- DSU led by six (19-13) at the 10:13 mark of the opening half when the Bulldogs used an 11-0 run to claim a 17-point lead before racing to the halftime locker room up 13 points (44-31).
- The second-half was all DeSales as the lead hovered around 20 points nearly the entire half, peaking at 29 points with 5:50 left before the Bulldogs emptied the bench.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Senior Elijah Eberly led five players in double figures with 18 points, shooting 6-for-7 from the field.
- Senior Caleb Gibbs had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds and fellow senior Jordan Holmqvist hit four 3's equaling Gibbs' 12 points.
- Senior Mason Barnes had 11 points and senior Will Bowen finished with 10 tallies.
- Junior Devin Atkinson handed out a game-high seven assists and also pulled down 11 boards in the win.
For the Foes
- Gary Francis was hot from outside hitting six 3's, accounting for a game-high 24 points.
- Alex Diaz added 14 points and Marquis Ratcliff finished with 12 points.
Inside the Box Score
- DeSales torched the nets shooting 55.9 percent from the field as compared to just 41.7 percent for the Greyhounds.
- DSU also dominated the glass outrebounding Moravian, 40-24.
- The Bulldogs bench also out-scored Moravian's, 49-23, for the game.
