Mikaela Reese earned Tournament Most Valuable Player honors leading the DeSales University women's basketball team past Susquehanna University, 58-41, to take home the Susquehanna University Tip-off Tournament title on Sunday afternoon.
The Basics

- This was the first meeting w/Susquehanna since the 2001-02 season.
- The win gives DSU two straight wins in the series and moves the Bulldogs to 3-5 all-time in the series.
How it Happened
- Both teams struggled to score the ball in the first quarter as the Bulldogs opened up a 6-0 lead over the first 5:30 and led 8-5 after one quarter.
- Susquehanna battled back to take its first lead of the game in the second quarter at 18-17 before DSU finished the half with a three-pointer from sophomore Mikaili Donmoyer giving the Bulldogs a 21-20 halftime lead.
- DeSales slowly pushed its advantage up to eight points twice in the third quarter and led by six (39-33) after three.
- It was a four-point game at the 6:50 mark of the final quarter when the Bulldogs closed the game on a 13-0 run holding SU scoreless over the final 6:50 of the game to take home the championship.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Reese earned All-Tournament honors finishing with 13 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, and seven blocked shots.
- Fellow seniors Lindsey Welsh and Megan Bealer also reached double digits with 14 points each.
- Bealer added six steals and Welsh posted the third highest total for steals in a game with nine.
- Senior Olivia Scotti added six points and seven boards.
For the Foes
- Julia Pinckert finished 15 points to lead Susquehanna.

- The Bulldogs finished the game shooting 40 percent from the field and held SU to just 26.8 percent.
- DSU had a 25-5 advantage in points off turnovers and forced Susquehanna into 33 turnovers.
