Wilkes-Barre, PA (February 1, 2023) - The #8/9th ranked DeSales University women's basketball team clinched a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament with its 52nd straight win over Wilkes University, 72-42, in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday evening.

- DeSales jumped all over the Colonels in this one opening up a 17-4 lead in the first 5:20 and taking a 27-9 lead after one quarter of play.
- The lead was 20 at the half and the Bulldogs put the game away in the third quarter out-scoring Wilkes, 19-5, holding the Colonels to just 1-for-18 from the field in the third quarter.
Top Bulldog Performers
- Junior Mikaela Reese had another strong game recording a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds adding two blocks.
- Senior Megan Bealer had 14 points as the only other player in double digits.
- Junior Abigail Rafferty pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds and had four blocks.

- Nadia Evanosky had 10 points off the bench as the lone player in double figures.
