Fayatteville, NC (December 26, 2023) - The DeSales University baseball team committed four errors leading to five unearned runs in an 8-7 loss to MIT in the final game of a three-game weekend down south on Sunday afternoon.
The Bulldogs scored three runs in each of the first three innings but trailed 8-3 allowing three first inning runs, an unearned run in the second inning, and four unearned runs in the third inning to fall behind early.
DSU added solo runs in the fourth, sixth, and seventh, and had the bases loaded with one run already in and just one out in the top of the ninth but were unable to plate the tying run to fall by one run.

JT Anderosky each scored two runs.

Zach Rothermel pitched very well out of the bullpen lasting 4 1/3 innings allowing just two hits and striking out four.
The Bulldogs are back in action next Sunday when they begin a five-game spring break trip out to Texas taking on Schreiner University.
