Allentown, PA (March 1, 2023) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team was out-scored 9-2 in the second half falling at #18 Muhlenberg College, 15-7, in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened

• The first-half was tight the entire way as the game was tied at three with just 3:20 left in the second quarter.
• The Mules got three quick goals to take a 6-3 lead but the Bulldogs countered with two goals eight seconds apart with 30 and 22 seconds left to get within one (6-5) at the half.
• Muhlenberg dominated the third quarter out-scoring DeSales, 4-0, and took a 12-5 lead with the first two goals of the fourth quarter and never looked back from there.

• Senior Beau Neff and first-year Mark Winkler Jr. each had a goal and two assists.
• Junior Colin Adams finished with two goals and senior Dominic Maria totaled a goal and an assist.
• Sophomore Jake Fratarcangeli and senior Cole Kirchner both scored.
• Senior Zach Broomall controlled the face-off circle winning 15-of-24 and picking up nine ground balls.
• Junior Quinten Lyons was very good in goal making 16 saves.

For the Foes

• Ethan Grossman had five goals and three assists to lead the Mules.
• Jack Kraemer finished with three goals and an assist.
• Max May made 12 saves in goal.

• Muhlenberg out-shot DeSales, 50-36, and had a slim 34-33 advantage in ground balls.
