Carson Allison went 5-for-5 at the plate leading a 20-hit attack as the DeSales University baseball team opened the Lycoming College weekend series with a 16-6 win at Weiland Park on Friday afternoon.
DSU took control of this one early scoring twice in the first, six times in the second, and two more in the third to take a 10-0 lead. Allison had hits in all three innings including doubles in the first and second and senior
Colin Trembley had a grand slam home run in the second inning.
After the two teams traded two runs in the fourth inning, the Warriors got three runs in the fifth to pull within, 12-5.
Senior
Joe Grigas IV had a solo home run in the sixth inning and DSU added three more runs in the seventh to put the game out of reach.
Allison finished with five hits and scored three runs out of the leadoff spot. First-year
JT Anderosky had two hits and scored three times, sophomore
Gabe Diaz finished with three hits and four runs scored, Grigas IV added two hits, three runs scored, and three RBIs.
Senior
Billy Scanlon had three hits and three RBIs and Trembley finished with seven RBIs.

Ryan Rieber earned the win with five innings allowing five earned, striking out three.
The Bulldogs are back at it tomorrow when they travel to Lycoming College for the rest of the weekend series with first pitch set for Noon.
