Center Valley, PA (March 30, 2023) - The DeSales University men's tennis team handed PSU-Berks its first loss of the season blanking the Nittany Lions, 9-0, in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon

Doubles
Juniors Augie Citrone and Philip Ritchie teamed at the No. 1 position to win 8-2, while senior Will Pollick and Aiden Kiernan won 8-4 in the No. 2 spot. The senior duo of Mark Sherrill and Thomas Blomquist won 8-1 in the No. 3 flight to get DSU off to a 3-0 lead.

Singles
The Bulldogs swept all six singles matches to complete the sweep. Citrone won 6-4, 6-2 in the No. 1 spot and Ritchie was a 6-3, 6-2 winner in the No. 2 position. Kiernan won 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 3 flight and Sherrill was a 6-2, 6-1 winner in the No. 4 spot. Pollick won 6-0, 6-0 in the No. 5 position and Blomquist was a 6-0, 6-3 winner in the No. 6 flight.

The Bulldogs are slated to get back to action on Saturday when they travel to Misericordia University for a MAC Freedom match set to begin at 11:00 am.
