San Antonio, TX (March 8, 2023) - The DeSales University baseball team wrapped up its spring trip to Texas with two hard fought losses at Texas Lutheran on Tuesday and Trinity University on Wednesday.
Game One (L/1-10 vs. Texas Lutheran)
DeSales took a 1-0 lead in the second inning and the game remained tight into the fifth as the Bulldogs trailed 2-1 before TLU scored four times in the fifth and added runs in each of the last three innings to pull away.

John Rorick each had two hits in the loss.
SeniorÂ
Ryan Rieber took the loss allowing five runs over four innings, fanning two.
Game Two (L/3-4 vs. Trinity)
Trinity scored twice in the first and second innings to take a 4-1 lead.
DeSales got a run back in the fifth on an RBI single from seniorÂ
Joe Grigas IVÂ and another in the seventh on a solo home run from Diaz but was unable to find the tying run.

Zachary Zuchowski had two hits for the Bulldogs.

Zach Rothermel, pitched outstanding tossing six shutout innings allowing just two hits.
DSU is scheduled to open up MAC Freedom play this weekend traveling to Wilkes University on Saturday but stay tuned to the schedule online for potential changes due to the weather.
