Myrtle Beach, SC (March 8, 2023) - The DeSales University softball continued its torrid play with two more wins on Wednesday scoring 28 runs in its two games to earn wins over William Peace and Thiel on the third day of play in its spring trip to Myrtle Beach.
Game One (W/11-8 vs. William Peace)
After the Bulldogs fell behind 2-1 after four innings of play, DSU exploded for five runs in both the fifth and sixth innings to take an 11-2 lead and held on late for an 11-8 win.
Eight different Bulldogs had two hits including seniorÂ
Victoria Agnoli and seniorÂ
Kayleigh Ferraro, and seniorÂ
Kylie Bryant who each had two RBIs in the win. Agnoli had an inside-the-park home run during the 5-run sixth inning and Ferraro had two-RBI single in the 5-run fifth inning.

Ava Goodman each had two hits in the win.

Riley Long earned her second win of the trip going six innings allowing five earned runs and striking out seven. JuniorÂ
Alanna Hartzell got the save recording the final out of the game after William Peace had rallied to put the tying run at home plate.
Game Two (W/17-5 vs. Thiel)
DSU scored four runs in the first inning to take a 4-0 lead thanks in part to a three-run home run from Bryant.
Thiel cut the margin down to 4-3 after three innings before the Bulldogs exploded for seven runs in the fourth and six runs in the fifth inning to pull away for the win.
Agnoli went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs, Bryant finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs, Ferraro was 2-for-3 with three runs scored, four RBIs, and a home run, and Secara had two hits and scored three times. SophomoreÂ
Madison Kelly got the start and added three hits and three RBIs, while seniors

Olivia Ondrejca each had two hits.

Rachel Lowry earned her third win of the trip allowing just one earned run over five innings pitched, striking out eight.
DSU wraps up its trip tomorrow taking on Widener University and Eastern Nazarene College.
