Bethlehem, PA (April 12, 2023) - The DeSales University baseball team broke open a tie game in the seventh with seven runs over the seventh and eighth innings to take home a 12-5 win over local rival Moravian University on Wednesday afternoon.
DSU took a 5-0 lead in the fourth inning as first-yearÂ

Carson Allison all had RBI hits in the inning.
Moravian battled back to tie the game at five with a run in the fifth and four runs in the sixth.
The Bulldogs wasted no time re-claiming the lead with three runs in the top of the seventh that included and RBI single from seniorÂ
Billy Scanlon put the game away in the eighth with four more runs that included another RBI single from McGowan and a two-RBI double from Allison.

Ryan Rieber pitched well allowing just one run over five innings and seniorÂ
JJ Paul earned the win with 2 1/3 scoreless in relief.
Anderosky finished 4-for-5 with three runs scored, Rorick had three hits, two runs, and three RBIs, Allison and Scanlon had two hits, and McGowan was 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBIs.
DSU is back in action on Friday when they travel to King's College for the first of three games this weekend with the Monarchs.
