Wilkes-Barre, PA (April 13, 2023) - The DeSales University men's tennis team blanked King's College, 9-0, in MAC Freedom action on Thursday afternoon.

Doubles
DSU swept all three doubles matches to get off to a 3-0 lead.  Juniors Augie Citrone and Philip Ritchie earned an 8-2 win in the No. 1 spot, first-year Aiden Kiernan and senior Will Pollick won 8-5 in the No. 2 position, and seniors Mark Sherrill and Thomas Blomquist won 8-3 in the third flight.

Singles
The Bulldogs finished off the Monarchs winning all six singles matches. Citrone won a hard fought decision in the No. 1 spot, 0-6, 6-1, 1-0 (10-3) and Ritchie won 6-1, 6-2 in the No. 2 spot. Kiernan was a 6-4, 6-2 winner in the No. flight and Sherrill was a 6-1, 6-3 winner in the fourth spot. Pollick won 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 5 hole and sophomore Zachary Marshall won 6-3, 1-6, 1-0 (10-7) in the No. 6 position.

The Bulldogs are set to host Wilkes University in MAC Freedom action on Saturday beginning at Noon.
