Center Valley, PA (April 16, 2023) - The DeSales University softball team dropped both ends of a MAC Freedom doubleheader with King's College on Sunday afternoon at McGettigan Park.
Game One (L/3-5)
DeSales took a 2-0 lead in this one with runs in both the first and second innings after a sacrifice fly from seniorÂ
Kayleigh Ferraro and a single from sophomoreÂ
Abigail Rodriguez.
King's scored three times in the third inning to take a 3-2 lead and led 4-2 when the Bulldogs got a run back in the fifth on an RBI single from seniorÂ
Kylie Bryant.
The Monarchs added an insurance run in the top of the seventh and DSU was unable to get any closer.
SophomoreÂ
Rachel Lowry took the loss allowing four earned over seven innings, striking out six.
SeniorÂ
Victoria Agnoli had three hits and Bryant added two hits in the loss.
Game Two (L/2-4)
King's scored all four of its runs over the first three innings to take a 4-0 lead.
DeSales rallied with two runs in the bottom of the third on an RBI triple from Agnoli and RBI single from Ferraro. The Bulldogs only managed one more base runner the rest of the game to fall 4-2.

Tabitha Lawless took the loss allowing three runs over two innings.
The Bulldogs are back on the diamond on Wednesday when they travel to Arcadia University for a MAC Freedom doubleheader beginning at 4:00 pm.
