Lowry Pitches Softball to DH Split at Arcadia

Center Valley, PA (April 19, 2023) - Sophomore Rachel Lowry tossed a 4-hit shutout in game one leading the DeSales University softball to a doubleheader split at Arcadia University on Wednesday afternoon.

Game One (W/3-0)
Lowry was terrific in this one tossing her third shutout of the season allowing just four hits and striking out six.

DSU took a 1-0 lead in the fourth on an RBI single from sophomore Tori Kenney and got two very important insurance runs in the seventh on RBI singles from seniors Nicole Secara and Victoria Agnoli.

Agnoli and senior Kylie Bryant each had two hits in the game one win.

Lowry earns her 10th win of the season for the Bulldogs.

Game Two (L/4-6)
DSU took a 1-0 lead in the fourth on a solo home run from Bryant but Arcadia got three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to take a 6-3 lead and DeSales was unable to recover.

Bryant finished the game 4-for-4 with three RBIs and Secara was 2-for-5 with two runs scored. Agnoli added two hits in the loss.

First-year Riley Long took the loss in relief.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Wilkes University for an important MAC Freedom doubleheader beginning at 1:00 pm.
