Adams Registers Eight Points in 18-7 Route of FDU-Florham

Center Valley, PA (April 19, 2023) - Junior Colin Adams scored five goals and added three assists leading the DeSales University men's lacrosse team past FDU-Florham, 18-7, in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday evening.

  • Records: DeSales (6-7, 4-1 MAC Freedom); FDU-Florham (6-9, 2-4 MAC Freedom)
  • DSU wins its third straight over the Devils to retain the Mike Schambach Cup and improves to 7-17 all-time vs. FDU-Florham.
  • DeSales is now also just one win away from clinching a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason with three games left to play.
How it Happened
  • DeSales took control early in this one and never looked back.
  • DSU scored six first quarter goals and added eight more in the second quarter to take a 14-0 lead halftime lead as the Bulldogs cruised to the win in the second-half scoring the first three goals of the third quarter to take a 17-0 lead.
Top Bulldog Performers
  • Adams led all scorers with his five goals and three assists.
  • First-year Jake Hurd added three goals and an assist and senior Domenic Maria finished with two goals and three assists.
  • Sophomore Jake Fratarcangeli had three goals, first-year Kellen Baklund scored twice, and senior Beau Neff had a goal and an assist.
  • Sophomore Anthony Gash won 8-of-9 faceoffs nad had six ground balls and first-year Dan Haag won 9-of-11 faceoffs with seven ground balls.
  • Junior Quinten Lyons had six saves and did not allow a goal in the first-half.
For the Foes
  • Brian Stewart and Brenden Fabin each had two goals.

  • DeSales out-shot FDU-Florham, 49-37, and enjoyed a 40-26 lead in ground balls.
