Center Valley, PA (April 22, 2023) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team moved into a tie for second place in the MAC Freedom with a 20-8 win over King's College in MAC Freedom action on Saturday afternoon.

The Basics

• Final Score: DeSales - 20, King's - 8
• Records: DeSales (7-7, 5-1 MAC Freedom); King's (0-13, 0-5 MAC Freedom)
• It is DSU's sixth straight win in the series and improves DeSales to 19-5 all-time vs. the Monarchs.

How it Happened

• Leading 2-1, sophomore Nate Perry scored two straight goals in 51 seconds at the end of the first quarter to give the Bulldogs a 4-1 lead.
• DSU dominated the second quarter out-scoring the Aggies, 10-1, to take a 14-2 halftime lead and scored the first four goals of the third quarter taking an 18-2 lead and never looked back after that.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Perry and first-year Kellen Baklund each scored four goals to lead the scoring.
• Senior Domenic Maria had three goals, first-year Jake Hurd added two goals, and junior Colin Adams finished with a goal and two assists.
• First-year Mark Winkler Jr. handed out four assists and senior Beau Neff and first-year Taylor Wikert each had a goal and assist.
• Senior Zach Broomall won 6-of-9 faceoffs.

For the Foes

• EJ Schreiner had two goals and two assists.
• Ben Spencer and Ryan Barnes each scored twice.

Inside the Box Score

• DeSales out-shot King's, 68-35, and had a 41-23 advantage in ground balls.
• The Bulldogs won 19-of-31 faceoffs and were 14-for-16 on the clear.
