Center Valley, PA (April 22, 2023) - The DeSales University men's tennis team clinched the #3 seed in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament after a 9-0 win over Lycoming College in the MAC Freedom regular season finale on Saturday afternoon.

Doubles
DSU swept the three doubles matches by scores of 8-2, 8-0, and 8-0. Juniors Augie Citrone and Philip Ritchie teamed in the No. 1 spot, senior Will Pollick and junior Aiden Kiernan were partners in the second flight, and seniors Mark Sherill and Thomas Blomquist won in the third position.

Singles
Citrone won 6-2, 6-3 in the first flight, Kiernan won 6-0, 6-0 in the second spot, and Sherrill was a 6-0, 6-1 winner in the third position. Pollick earned a 6-0, 7-5 win in the No. 4 flight, Blomquist won 6-1, 6-1 in the fifth flight, and senior Ethan McCombs was a 6-1, 6-1 winner in the #6 spot in the lineup.

DeSales will be the #3 seed in the MAC Freedom postseason and will travel to FDU-Florham in the semifinals on Tuesday afternoon with a time to be announced.  The winner will advance into the MAC Freedom title match.
