Center Valley, PA (April 26, 2023) - The DeSales University baseball team committed six errors and gave up seven unearned runs in the eighth inning in a 16-6 loss to The University of Scranton in non-conference action on Wednesday evening.
DSU took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on an RBI groundout from first-yearÂ
Carson Allison but Scranton scored twice in the third, four times in the fourth, and twice more in the fifth to claim an 8-1 advantage.
The Bulldogs cut the margin down to four with three runs in the fifth and trailed 9-5 into the eighth when the Royals exploded for seven runs after DeSales committed three errors in the eighth inning and UofS took a 16-5 lead.

Billy Scanlon had two hits, and first-yearÂ
John Rorick had two hits, two runs, and two RBIs in the loss.
The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow night when they host Stevens in a MAC Freedom doubleheader beginning at 4:00 pm at Weiland Park.
