Center Valley, PA (April 26, 2023) - The DeSales University women's lacrosse team stayed in the postseason hunt with an 18-8 win over Wilkes University in MAC Freedom action on Wednesday evening.

• Records: DeSales (6-10, 3-4 MAC Freedom); Wilkes (3-13, 0-7 MAC Freedom)
• DSU improves to 6-0 all-time vs. the Colonels with the win.
• The Bulldogs sit in sixth place with one game left vs. Arcadia, who is tied with Lycoming College in fourth place.
• DeSales needs a win over Arcadia on Saturday and puts itself in position to earn a spot in the MAC Freedom postseason tournament based on other Saturday results.

How it Happened

• Wilkes took a 2-0 lead in this one before DeSales took control scoring seven straight goals to take a 7-2 lead.
• The Colonels answered with two straight to get within 7-4 but the Bulldogs scored three straight to end the first-half with a 10-4 lead.
• DSU out-scored Wilkes, 5-1 in the third quarter and never looked back in the fourth quarter.

Top Bulldog Performers

• Sophomore Meagan Landers led DSU with three goals and three assists for six points.
• First-year Hailey Linebaugh had three goals and senior Marina Bradley finished with three goals and one assist.
• First-year Christina DiGuglielmo had two goals and two assists and senior Dani Towey scored twice.
• Bradley added 10 draw controls and Linebaugh won eight.
• Sophomore Michaela Regan totaled five saves in goal.

For the Foes

• Caitlin McDonough, Sam Mullen, and Brooklyn Pedana each had two goals in the loss.

Inside the Box Score

• DeSales out-shot Wilkes, 36-18, and had a 13-5 advantage in ground balls.
• DSU was 14-for-14 on the clear and won 23-of-29 draw controls.
• The Bulldogs were an impressive 8-for-9 in free position shots.
